Maurizio's - Fine Italian in Morgan Hill CA

I love Italian food and Maurizio's (recommended by a co-worker) has some of the best - and most interesting - Italian food I've had in a long time. Although it is a bit of a drive from South San Jose it was worth every minute spent in the car listening to the super loud music blasting from my friend's ipod. Although my ears were ringing when we arrived, my taste buds were treated to a fantastic meal in a very charming restaurant!!!
Rotelle Pasta in a creamy marinara

Fiocchi con gorgonzola e salvia - heaven on a plate!

Starters

  • Antipasta plate: includes salami, grilled artichoke, cheese and roasted red peppers. Served with bread.
  • Fiocchi con gorgonzola e salvia. Fresh pasta filled with asiago cheese and roasted pears in fresh sage and gorgonzola sauce. Note: this is on the pasta menu as an entrée but you can request a ½ order as a starter. This is a “don’t miss dish”!

Entrees

  • Fiocchi con gorgonzola e salvia. Yes, we re-ordered this for our entrees because it was THAT GOOD.
  • Rotelle. Pasta stuffed with ham, mozzarella and parmesan in a creamy meat sauce. I originally thought this would be rotini with the ham and mozzarella alongside but when presented it was totally different (and utterly delicious!) Take a look at the picture and start dreaming immediately! Our dining companions offered a small taste which is enough to lure me back for another meal soon.
