A hip, hot spot serving delicious burgers and garlicky truffle fries mid Penninsula (Belmont CA)...is that possible? For Godfather's Burger Lounge the answer is a bona fide "yes!"
In a building formerly hosting one unsuccessful restaurant after another the location seemed cursed. Finally someone had a brilliant idea: serve good food wrapped up in a comfortable ambiance with a bar on the side. Presto. A packed place, even mid-week.
Here's what I like: the menu is large enough for everyone to find something they like but not ridiculously super-sized (sorry to say, but think "Cheesecake Factory"). Add in reasonable prices, a smiling server and you've got the makings of a long-standing family and friends favorite.
