Rosamunde, Tony's Pizza

Who doesn't love a place with good sausages, all kinds of toppings and beer? My order at Rosamunde was the Mission Street (all beef sausage wrapped in bacon!) topped with grilled onions and sauerkraut. A side of beans rounded things out. All for $9.75. Yum.

Now for the pizza...

I've been dying to try this place since seeing the owner/chef on the Food Network. As soon as I heard about a restaurant in SF bearing his name I knew it was on my "to do" list.

The good: the bar, drinks and patrons. We ended up chatting with the people we were rubbing elbows (literally) with and then decided to dine there because...

(here's the bad, but not really bad)...the wait for a table was an hour and half. In general this means the food - and tables - are in demand. True. The pizza was good, but while it was tasty (standard margherita) we actually like the crust at Pizza Delfina. It's got a crispier texture and they tend to whip up really interesting combinations (like pizza carbonara).

I must say though, if in the neighborhood you should definitely stop by. If you've got the time.

  1. I love Rosamunde! I love trying any of their new sausages, but my go-to sausage is the Merguez with roasted red peppers, and whatever else fits my mood for the moment. I like buying the dog, then going next door to pair it with a pint. Thank you for the craving!
